First Year Anniversary: The Ruins

One year na yun? As in? Parang kahapon lang! How time flies so fast! Its been 371 days after our wedding. Wow! We surpassed a whole year of being together and managed not to kill each other. Hahaha! We still have a long way to go but with God, everything's possible :)

This year, we planned to maximize our travel plans before the little one comes along. I booked us a local destination for our 1st wedding anniversary. I chose to go to Negros Occidental because I saw people enjoy the Negros side of the country. With all the food trips in Bacolod, trekking adventures in Murcia and beautiful beaches at Caoayan, aahhh who can resist those? So yes, Negros it is!

Our first destination was The Ruins in Silay, Negros Occidental. The mansion was built before the World War II by the Lacsons, the mansion was built for Maria Braga, the mother of the ten Lacson children and burned by the American Guerillas in the Japanese Era. After centuries, it turned out to be a beautiful garden and a tourist destination. Besides the mansion, they also offer the place for events and prenups for couples. It is indeed a photogenic site. Inside the garden, they also have a restaurant serving Italian cuisine.

If I have known about this place a year ago, I would have booked a flight and took our photographer here for our prenup. Hahaha! (as if may budget. Lol!)

It is a historical place and a hidden gem that you can't miss when you go to Negros Occidental.
